Water Eject provides low-frequency tones, a tone generator, sound-level estimates, photo/video capture and stereo channel checks. This policy explains how the app uses data and permissions on your device.

Audio processing on your device

Cleaning tones, the tone generator and stereo tests generate sound on your device without uploading audio.

With microphone permission, ordinary sound-level measurement processes microphone levels live without saving a recording or sending sound to a developer server. The camera uses the microphone for live readings. Only videos you actively choose to record include an audio track. Still photos do not contain an audio recording.

Camera captures, temporary files and sharing

Camera and microphone access is used when you enter and use the camera feature, for its preview, readings and capture. Photos and videos are created on your device. Exported pictures include sound-level estimates and time.

The app keeps exports in its temporary directory so the system share sheet can read them. It removes the corresponding temporary files after normal sharing completion or closing the camera. An unexpected exit may leave files until later system cleanup. Copies you save to Photos, Files or another service are not deleted with the app's temporary files.

The app does not automatically upload captures. When you select a sharing destination, that destination handles the content under its own rules. Content saved to Photos may also sync according to your iCloud Photos settings.

Local preferences and progress

Language, appearance, onboarding status and completion dates for regular cleaning sessions are stored in the app's data on your device. The app has no service account or developer-operated cloud sync. System backups or device migration may preserve local data according to your Apple device settings.

Accounts, cost and tracking

The first release of Water Eject is free with all tools included. It offers no in-app purchases or subscriptions and does not require an account. The app contains no advertising, third-party analytics or cross-app tracking SDKs.

App downloads, system backups and other Apple system services may operate according to your device settings. Apple's own processing is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Permissions and control

You can revoke microphone or camera permission in system Settings. The related measurement or capture feature will then be unavailable; tone playback and stereo checks remain usable. System saving functions are used only when you choose to save through the share menu.

Stopping a measurement, closing the camera or moving the app to the background stops the relevant audio/capture operation. Preferences can be changed in Settings. Deleting the app normally removes its local app data. System backups and exported copies must be managed separately in the relevant system or service.
